Thanks for sharing the pictures Steve.  The window boxes accomplished exactly what you hoped by adding extra detail to the front of your home.  It helps integrate your home better with the landscaping in front and lessens the siding which was previously overpowering your home.

I think you did a great job and the windowboxes add a lot of charm to the home.  In the spring when they fill up they're going to look absolutely terrific.
