Consumer Agreement
Flower Window Boxes is a manufacturer only. All of our product is built to order in our facility and shipped all over the country. Some of our products may require technical knowledge to install and as such should only be installed by a qualified professional (handyman, contractor, or qualified tradesman). All product should be inspected upon arrival for damages prior to having your installer come out. It is the customers responsibility to hire a qualified installer for our products. If the customer attempts to install the product themselves they will take on all liability for their installation, otherwise if they hire a professional it is the professionals liability to ensure that the product is correctly installed. The professional must assess the situation and consider the best and correct way to install the product based on what they encounter on site including any special circumstances and installations that may be unique to the job.


Shipping & Delivery

Flower Window Boxes, Inc. currently uses UPS as their carrier. All non-freight items are shipped via UPS and you will receive an email from them at the time that the packages leave our facility with the tracking numbers. Please feel free to contact us for shipping updates and tracking numbers as well at any time at 888-505-7715 or by emailing us at [email protected] INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: At this time, FlowerWindowBoxes.com ships merchandise only to locations within the continental and contiguous United States, Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and ferried islands will be subject to additional shipping charges to be determined after purchase if done online. Please call in advance for rates or order by phone for an accurate order. Orders to Canada will also have international shipping charges added to them and can be purchased online, however, they may be subject to separate brokerage fees as well if the window box or planter exceeds 73" length or the order is large enough that it requires a freight delivery. Brokerage fees can range from $60 - $100 depending on the sizes and quantities of the order. Please give us a call for a free estimate at 888-505-7715. In many instances we can avoid brokerage fees. Allow 2-3 weeks for deliveries to outside the continental US. Freight deliveries are done by third party shipping carriers and for this we use over a dozen different carriers, any of which could be used to deliver your goods in the event that a freight carrier is needed.


Sales Tax

FlowerWindowBoxes.com does not charge sales tax for orders outside of the state of Georgia. However, for orders in the state of Georgia, a sales tax of 7% is applied on top of the final order cost. Orders placed out of state but picked up in person are subject to 7% sales tax via Georgia state law.


Warranties

Flower Window Boxes does not warrant any installation of our products - that will be done by your local handyman, contractor, or professional depending on who you have to install it. All installation should be done by a professional and all product should be fully inspected by the customer prior to an installer coming out to install the product to see if there is any damages that incurred during shipping. For damaged product call us at 888-505-7715 as soon as possible so that we can resolve it for you prior to installation. If customer attempts to install our product themselves without the help of a local professional then they will assume all liability for ensuring that the product is correctly installed in a safe and secure manner.

All of our PVC window boxes, PVC planters, and PVC Forever Shutters (TM) are backed with a lifetime guarantee against rotting, warping, twisting, and sagging. Factory painting is warranted for 15 years against chipping. Metal window boxes carry a 5 year warranty against rusting unless installed within 10 miles of a coastline in which case the metal window box warranty is voided due to the corrosive nature of salt water in the air. For installations near coastline we recommend our PVC window box line which has a lifetime guarantee in those instances.

Cedar wrapped window boxes and planters have a structural lifetime warranty due to the PVC inner core. We recommend staining, sealing, or painting the cedar to increase the beauty and lifetime of the cedar, however, unfinished cedar will show signs of aging by turning to a grey color.

Cedar products such as gables, brackets, corbels, mantels, braces, and shutters have a 90 day warranty against cracking and splitting. Please note that unsealed or unpainted wooden products left outside WILL crack over time. In almost all instances cracks less than 1/8" wide are cosmetic only and should not affect the functionality of the product itself. This is especially true for gables, brackets, corbels, mantels, and braces which are cut from large timber larger than 6x6.



    CANCELLATION POLICY
    Custom Orders Cancelled Before Shipping:     Due to the custom nature of a custom order, custom product cannot be resold. Once a custom order begins production, it cannot be cancelled without penalty. In the event that a customer cancels a custom order prior to shipment, they will be responsible for the cost of all custom product already built and can be refunded only the cost of product that has yet to be built plus any shipping costs if and only if the product has not yet shipped. All shutters are considered to be custom items. Additionally any items ordered by phone and marked on the line item as custom are deemed to be custom items as well.

    Non-Custom Orders Cancelled Before Shipping: If cancelled within 48 hours of purchase and prior to shipping the full order including the shipping can be refunded, however, if the items have already shipped the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs and a restocking fee. The amount of the restocking fee will be listed below in the return policy.


    RETURN POLICY - Breakdown by Product Type

    IF NOTIFIED AFTER 60 DAYS We do not accept returns on any merchandise if notified after 60 days of purchase.

    ALL CUSTOM ITEMS: Any item that is custom made cannot be returned.

    IF NOTIFIED WITHIN 60 DAYS    : In order to return an item to Flower Window Boxes, Inc. we must be notified within 60 days of purchase. We will only accept returns within 60 days of purchase on standard items minus the original cost of shipping. Only items in Category A and Category B listed below are eligible for return!

    CATEGORY A
    The following items are eligible for return
    1. Non-custom PVC window boxes 72" and less in length listed on our website (ground planters excluded)

    If notified within 60 days of original purchase the restocking fee on the aforementioned items in category A is as follows:
    Order Total = $0 - $1,999 no restocking fee
    Order Total = $2,000 - $2,999 = 20% restocking fee
    Order Total = $3,000 - $5,999 = 30% restocking fee
    Order Total = $6,000 - $7,999 = 40% restocking fee
    Order Total = $8,000 - $9,999 = 50% restocking fee
    Order Total = $10,000+ = 60% restocking fee
    To return any item you will be responsible to ship it back to us. We do not accept returns on any custom sizes or boxes that have been painted, drilled, planted into, modified, or used.

    The following items are eligible for return
    1. Non-Custom PVC window boxes greater than 72" in length listed on our website
    2. Non-Custom Metal Window Boxes listed on our website
    3. Non-Custom ground planters listed on our website
    4. Non-Custom Cedar Products (except cedar shutters) listed on our website
    5. Non-Custom PVC corbels, braces, brackets and window headers listed on our website

    If notified within 60 days of original purchase the restocking fee on the aforementioned items in category B is as follows:
    Order Total = $0 - $2,999 = 20% restocking fee
    Order Total = $3,000 - $5,999 = 30% restocking fee
    Order Total = $6,000 - $7,999 = 40% restocking fee
    Order Total = $8,000 - $9,999 = 50% restocking fee
    Order Total = $10,000+ = 60% restocking fee
    Customer is responsible for shipping these items back to us and the original shipping costs are non-refundable. We do not accept returns on any window boxes, liners, or planters that have been painted, drilled, planted, modified, or used.

    NON-RETURNABLE CATEGORY
    The following items are NOT eligible for return
    1. ALL PVC and CEDAR Shutters
    2. Any Custom Item
    3. Any Item not listed on our website

    Due to the custom nature of custom items and shutters these cannot be resold and are therefore non-returnable and noon-refundable. For this reason, we recommend customers first buy a $39 sample shutter so that customer can be happy prior to purchasing a large shutter order.
