33.5" x 8"H x 7.5"W XL Light Duty Window Box Insert (PVC Liner)

Our XL Light-Duty window box inserts are specifically designed to fit inside any of our XL size PVC window boxes (10" tall boxes only. Not for use with our metal cages). Liners are not necessary for our window boxes which can be planted directly into since they are rot proof, however, from time to time a window box insert may come in handy when planting in a hard to reach area such as a second story window. For situations like these you may consider getting a light duty insert for the convenience of being able to plant from ground level and then drop right in the window box.

Unlike our heavy duty architectural grade PVC liners which are made up of 5/8" thick material our light-duty liners are made up of 1/8" material and only available in a small range of sizes up to 39.5" in length. Due to the thinner material, our light-duty liners should not be painted. Light duty liners are only customizable by length and are available in a 7"H x 6"W profile for the standard inserts and 8"H x 7.5"W for our XL inserts. Custom lengths up to 39.5" are available. If you need a liner with custom height and width let us know and we can quote you on one of our architectural grade liners with customization in any three directions.

Self-watering reservoirs can also be added as an additional option to reduce watering frequency by 3-4 fold. Our reservoir systems (Feb 2013 and later model) are specifically designed to fit inside our window box inserts. Inserts can be ordered with or without drain holes by selecting the desired option below. Filter fabric is also an available option that can be added. Filter fabric works by trapping dirt inside the liner while allowing water to flow through the bottom. This helps separate water and dirt so that you have much cleaner water draining out the bottom. Remember, that you can also order a window box and reservoir system without getting a liner, it's a matter of personal preference.
